Moroccan Mint – always in vogue

A welcome cup of tea for that warming sensation, while fresh scents fill the air and give you the perfect chance to wind down for a relaxing moment: our Moroccan Mint organic tea is all about this very feeling. Moroccan Mint is a timeless and refreshing tea, providing utter enjoyment at any time of the day.
A classic tea with a rich history
Since time immemorial, mint has been used throughout the Mediterranean region for infusions and herbal remedies. Even the pharaohs of ancient Egypt treasured mint’s refreshing and vitalizing properties. Mint tea is still very popular today, and in Morocco, it is actually considered the national drink. Travelers to this unique country will be familiar with the famous “Thé vert à la menthe”: the Moroccan blend of green tea and nana mint. Typically, this classic combination is generously sweetened to harmoniously balance the tartness of the green tea.
Mild, aromatic, and tantalizingly refreshing
Nana mint is key to our Moroccan Mint. In Arabic, the word “nana” (نعناع / naʿnāʿ) simply means mint, but it is also known as “Moroccan mint” or “curly mint.”
Distinctively different from the peppermint plant commonly found in our part of the world, nana mint has a milder and sweeter flavor.
Without the typical mentholated spiciness, this tea reveals a pleasantly mild aroma, is refreshing, and gentle on the stomach. Enjoy it as a hot beverage in winter and as a wonderful thirst-quencher when served ice-cold in summer. Since it is decaffeinated, you can also savor it in the evening.
Origin: precision organic cultivation – from our own mint farm in Morocco
With a cup of Moroccan Mint, you are not merely drinking just any mint tea. Essentially, you are experiencing a mint specialty which we organically cultivate ourselves in Morocco – from the seedling selection to their ultimate harvesting. The nana mint grows on our own certified organic mint farm, located some 30 km from Marrakesh.
Maybe you are wondering why we make the effort to grow the mint ourselves? Quite simply, it’s the only way we can ensure the exceptional quality that makes our Moroccan Mint so unique. Our seedlings come from Tiznit, Morocco’s most famous mint-growing region, where they are painstakingly selected and then grown on our mint farm under the best conditions.
In this way, we elegantly combine venerable Moroccan tradition with modern Swiss precision: an irrigation system based on innovative Swiss agricultural technology lays the foundation for optimal mint cultivation. This results in an aromatic herb of exceptional purity.
Only minimal amounts of genuine Moroccan nana mint are ever exported, and organic quality mint is indeed a true rarity. That is why we consider it a privilege to grow our own mint and use it for our Moroccan Mint.

For that best aroma
Pour hot water (95° C – 98° C) directly on the leaves and let steep for 6 – 8 min. to allow the essential oils to fully develop so that the tea is pleasantly smooth and harmonious.
