Figure skating: an artistic sport

The Rapperswil-Jona ice skating club with its various disciplines is confident about the future. He is currently in the region of Eastern Switzerland the Club with most Swiss championship participants and also has the largest number of talent maps allocated by Swiss Olympic in the region. As a regional partner, we are proud to support the young talents of the ECRJ in their constant further development.

Figure skating - Grazil on the ice! Even at a young age, the children first begin to get balance on the slippery surface - with the narrow skid and the increased heel of the ice skates, no easy challenge. Jump up, can quickly turn on the floor and in the air, joy in interpreting music and enthusiasm for dance and aesthetics are required. To perform harmonious movements in the fingertips and at the same time bring courage and dynamics for the difficult jumps are the prerequisites for completing a successful freestyle. In regional, national and smaller international competitions, the athletes of the ECRJ compete with other ambitious figure skaters.

In the Rapperswil-Jona ice skating club, over 100 children try their first steps on the ice annually. 20 adults learn the detailed basic steps for the ice dancing and 15 young adults practice the beautiful steps and formations of synchronous running. Around 80 children and young people visit performance -oriented training or courses in popular sports in the club.
