Finding the essence of nature – gardening pleasures with Sirocco

Die Essenz der Natur - Gartenmomente mit Sirocco

Everything has its unique origin in nature, and coffee and tea are no exception. Anyone who loves their garden or the plants on their patio or terrace fully appreciates the importance of meticulous care.

Gardens are quiet havens of joy – oases of fragrance and color. We capture the essences from select coffee and organic tea plants to create exclusive moments of pleasure. Every Sirocco product is a miniature work of art, composed originally through nature, and then, crafted with loving care and passion, with the sole aim of delighting your senses.
You can enjoy our tea and coffee with a clear conscience, knowing we adhere to the principles of sustainable cultivation and fair trade policies.

Home-compostable coffee capsules
Have you heard of our home-compostable coffee capsules?

Our starch-based coffee capsules with aroma protection paper are completely aluminum-free and are sourced exclusively from renewable raw materials. And you can easily compost them at home. Under the right conditions, they will completely decompose in your garden compost within about a year.

However, if home composting is not an option or not really feasible (i.e. during the winter months when the right temperatures cannot be attained), the capsules can be safely disposed of at home.*

Our capsules are manufactured in Switzerland and are compatible with the Nespresso® system.**
The Sirocco coffee capsule tasting set features ten different Arabica coffees. And our cardboard packaging is 100% recyclable.

Exclusive Sirocco tip for your garden
Sirocco’s green thumb gardening expert, Jardin de Fleurs, offers some seasonal gardening tips gleaned from a picturesque corner of Switzerland’s Canton of Appenzell. To celebrate the spring season, she reveals how you can keep peonies – the queens of cut flowers – fresh for a particularly long time:

  1. The right time for cutting
It’s best to cut peonies early in the morning when the buds are soft and vibrant. At this stage, they should keep in a vase for up to a week.
  2. Fresh cut and changing the water
Remove any leaves that may fall below the waterline and cut the stems at an angle. Use lukewarm water and change it every two days to prevent bacteria formation.
  3. Adding sugar to make them last longer
You can prolong their freshness by adding a teaspoon of sugar or a dash of lemonade to the water in the vase. Or you can use a commercially available flower preservative, i.e. a small packet of flower food.
  4. Keep them away from fruit and store in a cool place
Keep the flowers away from ripe fruit since this will cause them to wilt more quickly. A good way to make the bloom last longer is to put them outside overnight (10 – 15 °C).

Good to know: Peonies should only be cut in the garden after three years since cutting them beforehand weakens their growth and could then prevent them from blooming the following year.

The spirit of the Sirocco Garden stands for enjoyment, joie de vivre, and a love of vibrant, sensual colors and scents. This is the essence of Sirocco, and we invite you to enjoy this luxury.
