Yuzu-fruit
Yuzu is a citrus fruit that has been based in East Asia for thousands of years, which goes back to a cross between the Ichang lemon and the wild mandarin. It is considered a classic ingredient in Japanese cuisine and has a very complex taste of citrus notes and a floral aroma, similar to a mixture of lime, lemon, mandarins and umami sweeties. The yellow to cleavage -colored fruit is tennis ball size and the pulp is very juicy. Yuzu-fruit is also becoming increasingly popular in Europe and is now contained in some foods as an ingredient.
