When we presented the first dozen of our Sirocco Bio Tea specialties a few years ago, she was already there: the Marrokan mint.

And how: In the first few days, we realized that she will be a clear leader in our organic range. We were happy about the many emails and calls, but soon realized that our need alone was much greater than was grown on organic mint at all.

And so what was called an adventure began ... We started growing our mint in Morocco in collaboration with a local partner. What sounds relatively easy at first glance (many also have mint in the garden), the size of some hectares in the summer desert heat from Marrakech became a real challenge.

We were looking for the optimal type of irrigation, ideal plant structure, organic fertilizer, types of drying, school-bearing staff and and and ... also the international organic guidelines and standards of fair production are strictly respected.

Over three years have passed since our start and we can proudly say that we were the only one to be able to get an integrated production from the seedlings to drying and that we can offer the only real organic Morocco mint.

In the sense of organic production, there is also a biological diversity on site. The idea behind this is to stop the usual efficiency considerations and to have a diverse nature on site. Therefore, in addition to the mint, we have planted other plants and fruits (mandarins) and olive trees and develop a program to further expand organic diversity.

All of this for the unique moment when you open the turf and can smell the unmistakable mint aroma.
