Art on Ice 2026: An anniversary full of magic, music, and top-class sport
When the music fades and thunderous applause breaks out, and the artists slowly leave the ice rink, the audience pauses for a moment, carried away by the feeling of having been part of something big.
Art on Ice 2026 celebrated its 30th anniversary in spectacular fashion. Award-winning figure skaters and international music stars provided moments full of magic, energy, and precision. Between February 26 and March 7, 2026, the anniversary show thrilled audiences at Zurich's Hallenstadion, Fribourg's BCF Arena, and Davos Ice Stadium with its emotion, perfectly coordinated choreography, and supreme precision.
It was a special privilege for Sirocco to once again accompany this extraordinary milestone as a proud partner of many years. Participation in our competition for 300 pairs of tickets exceeded all our expectations, and we are very grateful for the many positive responses from the winners. For many of them, the visit was much more than an event; it was a unique experience that will linger long in the memory. Art on Ice is more than a show: it is an experience, a feeling, a moment that stays with you. And it is precisely this attitude that connects Art on Ice with Sirocco.
30 Jahre Art on Ice: Against all odds
The anniversary show in 2026 could hardly have been more fitting. Under the motto “Against All Odds,” Art on Ice told a story of courage, unconventionality, and belief in one's own vision. It was a tribute to all those who take risks, who inspire, surprise, and thus create something new.
The show took the audience back to a special place: the Splendid Bar in Zurich, where in 1995 two young dreamers sat and developed a seemingly crazy idea.
“What if we combined live music with figure skating?”
What seemed like a distant utopia at the time has become an international flagship for creativity, technical perfection, and emotional experience over three decades.
A total work of art combining art, music, and movement
A special highlight of the anniversary show was the collaboration with Brazilian artist Romero Britto, whose pop art transformed the ice into colorful emotions. Britto not only designed the anniversary logo, but also created an exclusive work of art for the show. His colorful, life-affirming imagery gave Art on Ice 2026 another distinctive design element. His motifs, incorporated into several productions, symbolized the show's message: optimistic, powerful, and courageous against all odds.
