Purple Breeze, loose leaf tea
Picked in traditional tea gardens on the southern slopes of the Himalayas. A Darjeeling with a characteristically mellow spiciness.
Darjeeling is one of the best-known varieties of tea. The region around the Indian city of Darjeeling is the center of Bengal tea growing, and was also the starting point of a caravan route to Tibet. Today, it is known primarily for the teas of the same name, which are mostly of very high quality.
Instead of the customary Darjeelings we only use the highest-grade tea for our Purple Breeze: SFTGFOP1, which stands for Special Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe.

The tin height is about 6.5 cm / 12.5 cm / 18.5 cm, depending on the desired packaging.
A darjeeling should be brewed with water at a temperature of 95–98°C (leave the water in the kettle for a short time until it has stopped boiling). For the perfect cup, let steep for 2 – 3 min. The aroma of Darjeeling comes into its own when brewed with relatively soft water.
