The rough beauty of the “Cederberg Mountain” region in southwestern South Africa is the home of the Rooibos plant. The rooibos is only grown in South Africa and exclusively in the area around the cities of Clanwilliam and Citrusdal, about 200 km north of Cape Town. The sandy floors, paired with cold, damp winters and hot dry summers, are optimal conditions for the thrive of the South African National drink.

The shrubs are harvested once a year from December to April. The young branches are cut off, finely chopped, squeezed and moistened with water to start the fermentation. After completing the oxidation, the tea is dried in the sun. This gives it its unmistakable taste and the reddish-brown color. Rooibos contains no caffeine and only a few tannins. This tea is also an ideal thirst quencher for children.

"Rooibos Tangerine" - the rooibos tea from Sirocco

The organic-Rotbusch tea with Sirocco tangerine is digestible, fruity and caffeine-free. In order to give the rooibos a more exclusive note, we have added some hibiscus and tangerine, an Asian variety of the mandarins known to us. The subtle mandarin grade contributes to the uniqueness of this mix. The result is a great tea with a wonderful aroma, which can also be enjoyed late at night.

The tea is as loose tea in the can and in sachet available.
